On August 19, 2019, Kamimura Yue, Director of the technical research institute of Maekawa Seisakusho in Japan, and his team visited our School. Prof. Zhang Hua, Vice President of USST and Dean of the School, Prof. Jiang Nengzhao and some teachers from Institute of Refrigeration and Cryogenic Engineering and experimental center participated in the activity.
Prof. Zhang Hua introduced the historical figures, construction and development, team construction and scientific research achievements of USST, the School and the Institute of Refrigeration and Cryogenic Engineering. Kamimura gave a lecture on the research and equipment development status about preservation and refrigeration chain technology of crops at high humidity and low temperature conditions in Maekawa Seisakusho. Meanwhile, Dr. Qian Zhenyi gave a lecture on the ultra-low temperature cold chain technology and equipment for tuna. The teachers and students in Institute of Refrigeration and Cryogenic Engineering have carried on the technical exchanges and discussions with Kamimura.
After the technical seminar, the teachers of the School accompanied the Kamimura and his team to visit the international cultural exchange park of USST, and visited the research laboratories of the Institute of Refrigeration and Cryogenic Engineering and the undergraduate teaching laboratory of the National Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center of the School.
Through this exchange, we have enhanced mutual understanding between Maekawa Seisakusho and the School. Both of us expressed that we should contact and communicate more in the future, and establish research cooperation on joint research projects.
