On the Morning of May 19, the Shanghai Municipal Party Committee and Government held the Shanghai Science and Technology Award Conference in the central hall of Shanghai Exhibition Center. The scientific and technological workers who have made outstanding contributions to Shanghai’s scientific and technological innovation, and economic and social development were solemnly commended. Li Qiang, Gong Zheng, Zhuge Yujie and Zhou Huilin attended the conference and presented awards to the award-winning delegates. Li Qiang delivered a speech at the conference.Associate Professor Qi Yingxia from the Institute of Refrigeration and Cryogenic Engineering in our School attended the conference as an award-winning representative.
The project “Research and Application of Key Technologies of Refrigeration System and Equipment with New Environmental Friendly Refrigerant R290/R32” of our school as the first completed unit won the second prize of 2019 Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award (Completer: Asso. Prof. Qi Yingxia, Prof. Tao Leren, Asso. Prof. Liu Ni, Asso. Prof. Huang Lihao, Prof. Zhang Hua.).This award is a new breakthrough in the research of environmentally friendly refrigeration technology of our school.
This project is the results of scientific and technological cooperation between our school and Shanghai Highly Electrical appliances Co., Ltd., Haier Qingdao Air Conditioner Co., Ltd., and Haier Qingdao Special Electric Freezer Co., Ltd. for many years. Facing the requirements of national strategy and international environmentally friendly refrigerant substitution agreement, the project mainly focuses on the development and application of a new generation of refrigerants, carried out the study on the physical properties of the refrigerants, safety,oil melting, key technologies in system optimization and promotion. The project solves the problems in the application and promotion of compressors, air conditioners, freezers, etc. Products are sold all over the world, achieve many innovation with significant economic and social benefits.
There are in total 308 items (persons) awarded for the 2019 Shanghai Science and Technology Award. Including 43 Shanghai Natural Science Award(15 first prizes, 20 second prizes and 8 third prizes); 31 Shanghai Technology Invention Award (1 special prize, 12 first prizes, 13 second prizes and 5 third prizes);205 Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award (46 first prizes, 80 second prizes and 77 third prizes.)
