On the afternoon of November 7, invited by Professor Shi Liuliu of Shanghai Impeller Machinery Flow Control and Testing Technology Innovation Team, Professor Qian Yi of Monash University in Australia conducted academic exchanges on the research and development of artificial heart and the application of artificial intelligence in medical imaging at the 2nd Office 311. With more than 30 years of experience in medical-engineering interdisciplinary research and clinical translation, Professor Qian has designed, developed and manufactured a third-generation artificial heart that has been successfully implanted into more than 500 patients. Professor Qian has also made outstanding contributions in patient individualized cardiac and cerebrovascular hemodynamic analysis, pediatric congenital heart disease hemodynamic analysis, artificial intelligence medical image processing and vascular stent design and improvement.
Professor Qian Yi presented his presentation on the topic of "Challenge of Vascular Disease Treatment and Risk Diagnosis-Hemodynamics and Artificial Intelligence". His research achievements and experiences in artificial heart, AI analysis of cerebral hemangioma and other fields were described. After the presentation, the teachers and students at the meeting had an in-depth communication with Professor Qian on the issues concerned in the presentation, such as the material selection of experimental artificial heart, how to control the blood flow of the heart, and the construction of endovascular stents. Professor Qian's report was simple in depth, detailed in content, and closely related to the hot topics of academic preface. All the teachers and students present here benefited a lot.
